Welcome to Moor First School and to our website. I am privileged to work in this semi-rural school where everyone belongs to the ‘Moor First Family.’
Learning is central to everything that we do and together we strive to ensure that all children at Moor First receive the support, challenge and guidance they need to reach their full potential. We are committed to maximising academic outcomes and progress, as well as equipping children with the skills, knowledge and competencies (both in and out the classroom) that will help them learn for life. By adopting this whole child approach to teaching, we support children in finding their strengths, building self-esteem and promoting resilience because we know our children so well. At Moor First School, we have a shared ethos so that every child and adults is encouraged to achieve these goals within a safe and nurturing environment.
Our village community help us on our journey of success and families are strongly encouraged to be fully involved in the education of their child at Moor First…Together we are stronger!
